Copper is used across a range of projects and is often chosen for its beautiful appearance. It has a higher price-per-unit cost than steel, and as such, it’s typically used for decorative purposes – to create stunning statement pieces or add eye-catching touches. We regularly work with copper to produce beautifully handcrafted bar and counter tops for homes and businesses as well as smaller pieces, like bold brackets or handles for furnishings, or stand-out door push plates. Copper is a versatile metal that can be manipulated to achieve desired aesthetics. Surface finishing methods include:
Certainly! We work with a range of different sheet metals, including steel, aluminium, brass, zinc, pewter, titanium and bronze. With over three decades’ experience producing custom and bespoke designs, there’s no better partner than CSM for multi-metal projects.
It depends on the type of look and finish you want from your bespoke copper design. We usually recommend regular cleaning using a mild soap and soft cloth, as harsh chemicals and abrasive materials can scratch and damage the surface.
Your copper can be left to age or patina naturally over time, or you can treat it to maintain a shiny appearance. You will need to regularly treat the surface with a copper cleaner or polish, and you may also benefit from adding a wax or lacquer to it to provide an extra layer of protection and prevent wear and tear.
When you work with CSM, we will produce and deliver your product with your desired aesthetic and provide care and maintenance guidance so your copper stays looking just the way you want it.
