Cawdor Hotel

Backgorund

CSM was approached by Cawdor Hotel to create light fittings for their dining room. The Cawdor Hotel is a boutique hotel set in the heart of Llandeilo. The hotel retains the historic architecture and heritage of the original Georgian building while also blending in the modern luxuries of the 21st century.

Creating bespoke pieces is our forte, so we were eager to begin this project

Challenge

The client requested three light fittings similar to ones they had seen in a restaurant in London. After looking at the images the client provided, we sat down and decided the height arrangement for each lighting fixtures and how many lamps there would be on each fixture

Solution

The team at CSM created a 3D image of the light fixtures to the agreed dimensions to see how the fixtures would fit in the hotel. By doing this it gave the client an idea of how the light fittings would look in their hotel dining room. Before manufacture and fitting the lights, the team used detection equipment to detect where the beams were to evaluate the best placement of the lights.

The metal of choice for the light fitting was steel with a black powder coated finish
