Here are some of the metals we work with on a regular basis:

Aluminium: most commonly used for precision tubing in motor vehicles, refrigerators, air conditioning, solar panels and power lines. In construction, for everything from bridges and ladders to railings and doors.

Pewter: pewter sheet metal is an alloy which we love working with. it’s becoming more and more popular and affordable for architectural projects.

Mild steel: a cost-effective and easily manufactured metal suited to steel frame buildings, machinery parts, pipelines and design and gates.

Stainless steel: the choice for projects needing a durable and strong metal such as bridges, monuments and airport roofs, air cars and aircraft.

Galvanised steel: this is zinc coated steel which stops corrosive substances from reaching the underlying steel or iron. This means that it’s well suited to balconies, building frames, fences, car bodies, safety barriers and street furniture.

Copper: copper is easily formed and welded and can be processed with a number of finishes i.e polished, brushed or with a patina.  It is often chosen in the construction industry because it resists corrosion and conducts heat and electricity efficiently.
