At Customised Sheet Metal, we’ve been crafting metal work since 1992, designing products of all shapes and sizes for a variety of industries. All of our products are made to order, and no job is too big or too small. But what exactly is the process from start to finish, and how do we bring your ideas to life? Keep reading to find out how we plan, design and produce your products.
First things first, we need to hear from you. Once we’ve got a feel for what you need, we can then start planning the work and letting you know how much it will cost and how long it will take.
You can get in touch with our team to discuss any projects you have in mind via email or telephone on 01656 664 090.
Once we’ve agreed on your requirements, the price, and how long it will take, we get straight to work with the design.
Using the latest software, our draftsmen will adapt your preliminary designs and plans into technical drawings ready for production. We use computer-aided design applications to produce a 3D graphic simulation of your work so you can see for yourself how the final construction will come together.
During this part of the process, we really take the time to fully understand your requirements, providing advice and guidance where we can to ensure that the product we create is perfectly suited to your needs. Whether you need an architectural piece for an interior design project, or something functional and practical for warehousing or industrial use, we take the time to understand your requirements and create a product that is long lasting and fit for purpose.
When you’re happy with the design, our engineers will bring your vision to life. Our range of industry leading machinery has been carefully selected to produce an assortment of sheet metal products, spanning from metal and compound cones to in-house forming tools and stylish bar tops.
Our CNC 5-axis machine manufactures complex components with intricate geometry, such as numerous rotational moulding tools. Our engineers are also skilled in crafted creative manipulation, the process of which produces sculptural design effects from a flat sheet of metal. We also offer a range of metal finishing services, which creates unique patinas for steel, copper, zinc, stainless steel and bronze.
All of our products are completed on time and within your budget, as agreed up front in the planning process. At CSM, we are passionate about producing innovative, stylish and practical sheet metal solutions, and it’s extremely important to us that you are thoroughly satisfied with the end result.
