CSM has designed and created custom metal items for the set of two recent hollywood blockbusters: Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Overlord.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again
As a result of its high-quality metal design and manufacturing capability, CSM was commissioned to create a hand-crafted bar top for one of the scenes in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Its classic design and incredible durability is put to the ultimate test when two of the lead actors, Lily James and Hugh Skinner, dance on top of it. The couple are also joined by two waiting staff, meaning that four of the cast were on the bar top at one time.
Overlord
Following its work with Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, CSM was tasked to design replica Dakota wings and an engine cowling for the recent American war horror film, Overlord. The replicas were made from riveted aluminium and were as realistic as possible.
The Dakota was a military transport aircraft used widely by the allies in World War II. It’s a fixed-wing propeller-driven aircraft that took part in various para-dropping missions on the eve of D-Day.
